A Singapore-based loan shark syndicate is believed to be behind the arson attack on four homes in Johor Bahru

Perling assemblyperson Liew Chin Tong said the syndicate hurled Molotov cocktails at the homes twice last week, first on Friday, 9 May, before returning for another attack the following day.

"The target of this Molotov cocktails is believed to have been directed at one house, but the fire spread to three neighboring houses," he said.
