She us a true blue blooded malay.
omg... here we go again.

I believe in success for the Malays. Good for her. And the Chinese and the Indians and the Burmese and the etc.

Why the hell is Islam = Malay?

Might as well say communist = Chinese.

On a side note, she looks incredibly Chinese.

Same with commie tiong's mentality: all Chinese belongs to China, aka CCPee. Thus if you dun agree with the CCPee, then you are insulting the entire Chinese race.
As much as I suspect you are right, Still, I want them to voice their opinion. They are after all in the thick of it.

anyway care to address the point? Why Malay=Muslim?

or anybody else?

@mojito or @whoami
Its in the constitution of malaysia and singapore. A malay is defined as a person who practices malay custom ( can be white, black, chinese, indisn, orang asli, malay) and muslim.
As far as the law is concerned, the moment a malay denounce muslim faith, he is no more a malay in this two countries.
This is not the case in indonesia where a malay can be of any faith.

so malay custom = an Arabic religion??

That's a stretch to my mind. Are you sure no longer Muslim = no longer Malay?

That's actually incorrect. Singapore's Constitution did not say that a m&d who renounced islam ceases to be a m&d. He only ceases to be a m&d-moslem.

anyway care to address the point? Why Malay=Muslim?

The mohameddan faith was founded in a tribal society. In tribes, everyone in the tribe shares the same religion and same customs. You don't get people in the same tribe belonging to a different race or culture or religion or social norms. It's just doesn't happen.

In most tribal places that accepted islam, it is usually only the tribal chief or patriach who accepted islam. Once he accepted islam, it is understood that he accepted islam on behalf of the entire tribe. Hence, the entire tribe will be associated with the islamic religion. Anyone in the tribe who refuses to embrace the same religion as the tribal chief will either be killed or banished for good. It's not the same as excommunication, because the excommunicated individual is usually still permitted to stay in the same town or city as the rest of the tribe.

In the m&d history centuries ago, there were lots of little tribal kings. The king accepted islam, and so, the rest of his kingdom is ordered to switch religion and customs with the king, or face banishment or execution.

In islamic history, after the moslem 'prophet' mahomet died from the effects of poisoning, a number of arab tribal chiefs renounced islam. It meant that the rest of their tribes and warriors also left the islamic religion with their chiefs, and this apostasy/rebellion was only put down with military force, either compelling those rebel chiefs to re-embrace islam, or to just kill them and absorb their tribes into other tribes who were already moslem.

The moslem religion is a tribal religion, and leads to a different society from non-tribal societies like the chinks. For the chinks, you can be a taoist, buddhist, animist or free thinker, and you're still welcome to live anywhere in the kingdom, or share the same town as those who believe differently from you. You won't be banished or killed because you're not seen as a threat or outsider by the rest of the town.

Tribal societies don't believe in diversity.

If Javanese, the original Malay, did not convert to Islam, Greater Java, aka Australia, will still be theirs.

Be a warmonger m&ds, fight and never lose.... give it a try... drop Islam for 200 years... will see a warmonger m&ds ready to take back Australia from the Pommies... China be their trainers... fearless Kungfu fighters..

It looks like many of the successful jiuhu m&ds take effort to not appear too moslem.
