Vast majority of iraqis were happy with the invasion because it was the end of Sunni minority rule over the majority Shiite. Saddam murdered more Iraqis, especially Shia muslims, directly through his long reign of terror, not to mention genocide against Sunni Kurds.

From my grassroots interactions with local m&ds, most muslims were against the Bush invasion only because they didn't want to see Sunni Saddam toppled and replaced with a Shia leader. m&ds here are Sunni muslims, and they support fellow Sunnis.
