Malay satay man dip satay into coconut milk before grilling them. Do you like to eat this kind of satay ?

Got padang date which has different flavour and sauce.
Normally the satay meat is marinated in Ayam percik sauce I think. This one only santan?

Best satay is in Kajang, hands down. No other satay - Indon, Thai, Sg - comes close.

The marinade is the key: lemongrass, shallots, turmeric, galangal, coriander, garlic, salt, sugar. And must be grilled over charcoal fire.

Originally satay was prepared by Nyonya and Baba and the meat is babi

This was then introduced to Muslim Malay and they changed it to Ayam

@syed putra pls confirm

Sate started in Indonesia, then spread to the rest of the region.

I still prefer Malay satay cooked over a charcoal fire - the marinade, the peanut sauce, the ketupat... the Chinese or Baba versions don't come close.

original halal taste .... unique. :thumbsup:
Now Chinese tarnishing this tradition with heinous pork satay.

How to confirm? I see huis in china with bbq skewers all the time. Maybe it started from there. But the huis learned this from middle east. And those middle eastern guys also sailed to china via straits of malacca.

I heard that the satay hawker also dips a used sanitary pad into the peanut gravy to make customers return to the same stall.
