MALACCA: A teenager allegedly had an affair with his young aunt since early this year.

However, the family found out about the incestuous relationship only after the 15-year-old girl confessed to an elder sister about the boy's sexual advances.

The girl, said to be mentally-challenged, is now five months' pregnant.


Police arrested the youth on July 18 after the family lodged a report against him.

State CID chief ACP Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the youth, from Batang Tiga, near here, has been remanded for a week to help in investigations.

He said the suspect and the victim stayed in the same house. The boy's mother is an elder sister of the victim.

The alleged relationship came to light when the victim complained to another sister about their nephew's advances, ACP Mohd Adnan told reporters yesterday.

Same age is nothing. Several cousins , brother and sisters and I are older than some of my uncles and aunts. Age difference between me and some of my young uncles and aunts is between 12-15 years. How is that possible. Go back to those days where a man status was determined by how many wives he had. My late grandfather passed away in the late 50'sand he was in his early 50's(he was the oldest ). My youngest granduncle is in his early 70's
