Drifter, Sgns will not protest a foreign investment. Over twenty years ago, a Japanese company manufacturing Titanium Dioxide was turned away from setting up a plant in Taiwan. They then approached Peesai, and Singapore welcomed them with wide open arms. Clean production they said. Anyone ever wonders then why so many of their production staff are balding by the time they are in their mid-thirtie? The plant is in Tuas.

Cheers!

Up north got mobs protesting in the streets? Wow, it was a less safe place than I thought!

Titanium dioxide is a highly valued product and even China want to steal this technology. As a country who has an opportunity to manufacture this product Singapore die die will not turn it down without any concern for anyone. This is PAP. I use quite a lot of thsi stuff in my production. Expensive stuff, past 12 months price more than doubled knn

I wonder what happens if one stands in front of PUB and shout LAN-JIAO-PUB, JEE-BYE-PUB for raising electricity price.

Well, China is now flushed with TiO2 manufacturers - trying hard to sell their products. The problem with the PRC made is that users are quite wary of their consistency. Here might be some useful info for you.

LIST OF THE BIGGEST CHINESE TiO2 PRODUCERS
Chinese TiO2 producers (not foreign owned)

This list is based on reliable sources. It covers all Chinese TiO2 producers with a production of at least 30,000 MT. It is possible a few relevant TiO2 producers might be omitted from this list. Finally, the production capacity and production expansion plan shown for each producer might no longer be up to date. I count on your feedback to perfect/correct this list

Sulfate TiO2s: 20 companies

Shandong Dongjia (135,000 MT to be increased to 175,000 MT)
Sichuan Lomon Group (100,000 MT to be increased to 150,000 MT
Henan Billions (65,000 MT to be increased to 115,000 MT)
Hengyang CNSB (55,000 MT)
Anhui Maanshan GISI (50,000 MT)
Nanjing Titanium – GPRO Group (50,000 MT)
Yunan Dahutong (50,000 MT to be increased to 70,000 MT)

No rating has been allocated to these Chinese TiO2 producers in terms of quality and reliability . Hopefully, this list will generate lots of comments allowing potential foreign buyers to make valid decisions as far as who to approach and who not to approach.

Best regards,
