Here are convicted women school teachers in the US who have had misconducts with minors.
Debra Beasley Lafave
A former reading teacher at a Florida middle school was charged with having sex numerous times with a 14-year-old student in 2004, including once in a car which her 15-year-old cousin drove. She was also charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious assault and battery on a 16-year-old and was sentenced to three years of house arrest and given seven years on probation.
Pamela Rogers Turner
Pamela Rogers Turner was a physical education teacher in McMinnville, Tennessee, when accused of repeatedly having sex with a 13-year-old student, including once in the school gym in 2005. She was sentenced to an eight-year term in jail, but served only nine months.
She was arrested again in 2006 for having sex with a boy and sending him sexually explicit texts, photos and videos of herself.
Mary Kay Letourneau-Fualaau
Former primary school teacher Mary Kay LeTourneau was charged with child rape after she had a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old boy.
Mary Kay Letourneau had a baby with the boy named Vili Fualaau in July 1997 when he turned 14. But LeTourneau pleaded guilty to raping him on Aug 1997 and served seven and a half years in prison.
Afterward, Mary Kay Letourneau married her victim/lover, Vili Fualaau, took his family name and had two children with him.
Sandra Beth Geisel
Sandra Beth Geisel, a former English teacher at an all-boys Catholic high school in the town of Colonie, New York, was charged with rape for allegedly having sex twice with a 16-year-old student, once in a press box above a school football field. She is registered as a level one sex offender.
Amber Jennings
Amber Jennings, 30, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. The high school teacher in Dudley, Massachusetts, faced charges of inducing the minor to have sex and sending him nude photos of herself. Jennings admitted to prosecutors in September 2006 that she had sent harmful materials to the minor and e-mailed naked pictures of herself.
Carrie McCandless
29-year-old high school teacher Carrie McCandless was found guilty of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a high school student in Colorado. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail, five years on probation. She was reported to have had inappropriate contact with the 17-year-old boy while chaperoning a school camping trip.
Heather Lynne Zeo
Heather Lynne Zeo, a former high school math teacher in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, was suspended from her job for allegedly having sex with one of her students in the back seat of her family minivan and sending sexually explicit messages. She was reported to have three children and run a website where she posts songs containing religious messages.
