NATIONAL Development Minister Mah Bow Tan painted a bleak picture of what a town governed according to opposition proposals would look like.
Calling it the NSP Town, after the National Solidarity Party that is contesting in Tampines GRC against Mr Mah's People's Action Party team, he said it would be built on 'naive, superficial and populist' ideas.
For one, flats in NSP Town would all look exactly the same, Mr Mah said at the PAP rally in Tampines Stadium on Thursday night.
'They want basic flats. So, basic flats, no premium finishing, no community facilities,' he told the crowd. 'No upgrading in future, because when you upgrade, you increase the value of your flat. No, cannot.'

When you upgrade, you have to pay..... can't afford to pay cash..........go instalment plan.....effectively doubling the debt............And PAP got you by the balls again.

good, let him carry on this yah yah papaya attitude. the more yah yah he is, the more tu lan those on the grounds are.

Datz Y we must teach PAP a lesson they will never ever forget!

Until last nite, I thought this guy have disappeared.
He was cocky, defiant and abusive-almost LKY like in vindictiveness.(but without panache).
If I have to choose only one person to lose his/her seat-this is the guy.

It is no coincidence that he spoke only on the last nite of campaigning as this will not give others a chance to rebut him.
If the Party is serious about tackling the problems on housing, this guy should speak on the first day so that others can give their feedback.

His speech is the clearest indicator that the party does not intend to change any of their policies.
There has been no mention at all about making new flats more affordable or reducing tne number of FT/immigrants.

I am sorry-for locals who still vote for them. What kind of people trade away the future of their children for a few thousand dollars?
