M1 is sold to SIMBA

M1 is the gold standard last time.
But I don't know why they changed the CEO to a indian ceo. Then the standard goes south, from their service standard to their app and can't compete.

After Simba take over M1, Industry will raise the price and No more MVNO strategy.

Signal quality and coverage dropping?
M1 Data Passport coverage will reduce to Simba service level?

M1 goes south because they employ a SOUTH Asian CEO, an Indian,
SIMBA should never retain him as CEO, also not employ a CECA Indian as CEO.

This CEO from m1 does not have the connection and capability to grow Simba.
He should be moved.

The MVNO strategy is really shitty.
They should never have employed this strategy to counter against a growing SIMBA or TPG. I know who has come up with this strategy. He needs to get shot. Now all subscribers are paying $5 or $10 per month on subscription.

All the subscribers now has gotten used to this pricing. Now they still used the same old post paid strategy to retain customer. High subscription and need to pay high initial payment to own a phone.

They should have given out good data roaming bundles in their subscription for those who paid a lot for it. Lower their profit expectation.

It was bound to happen when SIM-only plans grew in popularity.

Subscribers tend to get better perks for their 'loyalty'.

Internet service providers like Simba should consider offering more affordable rates to their customers when utilizing Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology.
This is due to the fact that VoLTE infrastructure is relatively easier to set up and maintain, and it also leverages existing internet data packet transmission, which can support a greater number of mobile users compared to those old conventional analogy technology.

They could have not let this happened.
If the 3 players just stay put and offered the same package throughout. They will be sure of profit.
But they allowed the mvno to come in.

They lease the bandwidth to these mvno cheaply. Thus mvno can just lower the price. When consumer got use to low price, they can't be weaned off easily.

But what the incumbent can do is to offer generous local data bundle with data roaming at highly competitive rate.

Now Simba just crash through the roof with $5 to $10 local data with data roaming. But traditional big 3 are still stuck with their old strategy.

They should have moved on with times ,with market share to themselves and providing much better services to the consumer.

Then they would have just thrive with smaller profit.

5G does not work as well as what is being pushed in urban environment. These people didn't tell you.
4G works better in urban environment cos the frequency penetrative is far superior then 5G.

The 5G works best in open spaces. Once the frequency hit urban, it's not working as what is being said and told.

The ISP operates on an economy of scale, with the majority of users satisfy with 4G for voice services and internet browsing. It's essential to understand that base stations, installed by the ISP in a location, do not differentiate between urban and rural areas; instead, they rely on signal strength and coverage range. In urban areas, fewer base stations are used, placed further apart, whereas in city areas, more base stations are utilized, with closer proximity to each other. The number and placement of these cells significantly impact signal quality. Additionally, building structures can also affect signal reception.
