It was reported in the media that a water pipe burst in Changi Airport Terminal 2 last Friday (26 Dec) leading to flooding at the terminal. Some of the restaurants at the terminal were affected.
A Chinese restaurant, Crystal Jade, had to send away half of its customers.
One of the customers told the media that he was dining at Crystal Jade at around 8.30pm when water gushed into the restaurant. The lights also went off momentarily, he said.
A staff of Crystal Jade told him that a water pipe had burst which caused the flooding.
The customer said that Sakae Sushi was also affected. The two restaurants are located on level two of Terminal 2.
Crystal Jade had to cease operations and close for the day. Sakae Sushi had to move its customers to another area of the restaurant not affected by the water leakage.
