Seems like singapore had the worst type of hokkiens somemore. Contrast the teochews in thailand vs the hokkiens in philippines and it's like day and night i also wonder what sort of chinese the rich indons are.

Hey frens..thanks for reminding me that Hokkeins are tuapian..very the true,,say etc,,but never do,,and the reason I say it is cos I am a Hokkein half breed,,,and I have not gone to see my hokkein relatives for more than 10 years,,guess i am forgotten,,,and its all for the best,...

But also I think the Malaysian Hokkeins from the North of Malaysia,,are more kiam and tua pian than Spore ones,,,,I think their breeding is more pure,,,so the worse is in them

They are also quite a well known southern chinese dialect apart from the cantonese. The taiwanese frens that i know seem rather pleasant though.
