MOTORISTS will pay more at four electronic road-pricing (ERP) gantries, and less at two others from May 3.

At the latest quarterly review of ERP rates, the Land Transport Authority said drivers passing the gantry north of Braddell Road on the way to the city between 7.30 and 8am will pay $2 each time, 50 cents less than today.

Those using the East Coast Parkway (ECP) will face 50-cent increases at two gantries. These are the Fort Road gantry and the Kallang-Paya Lebar exit onto the ECP. Drivers will be charged $3 per pass between 8.30 and 9am.

Motorists passing the Pan-Island Expressway's (PIE) Adam Road and Mount Pleasant Road gantries between 8 and 9am will pay $2.

The present charges are $1 for the 8-8.30am slot and $1.50 for the 8.30-9am slot.

Drivers going west on the PIE will not be charged at the Eunos Link gantry between 7 and 7.30am. Currently, they pay $1.

Charges at all other ERP gantries remain unchanged.

ERP rates are tweaked quarterly to achieve as optimal a traffic flow as possible.
