NTUC: Wages need to account for standard of living?

It states that “Explaining the NTUC’s standpoint after meetings with the business community, Mr Lim said that equal remuneration would not take into account the standard of living in Singapore as opposed to other regions, and this would be unfair for local workers who have to support their family members here.”

Since the NTUC is now saying that we need to “take into account the standard of living in Singapore” as “local workers (who) have to support their family members here”, then the obvious question that may come to mind is what is a fair wage in Singapore?

Practically everyday in the media, you see something on the continuing debate about the need to pay low-income Singapore workers more.

But, how much more?

U don't see these pap clowns come out to debate cos they don't know how to debate, they only know how to give vomit out one-way rubbish.O yes, national converstion, they pap clowns converse among themselves ,how to extract more blood and money from the ordinary citizens !

The bigger question need to be answered by Mr. Lim is, given the high cost of living and to support family here with absolutely no option of 'going back home country' for citizens here, why is Labour Minister sitting idle (probably even helping foreigners to come here!) while jobs for citizens are given to so-called 'FTs' making the former jobless? I am referring in particular to middle management and PMET roles.
