When I'm travelling it's difficult to do the laundry: wash, dry & iron clothes. It's not always practical to have the hotel do the laundry because of the time involved.

I usually DIY, washing the clothes in the room but find that the shirts take too long to dry & become wrinkly.
Anyone know of any shirts available which are quick drying & don't require ironing:confused:

For pants I find that those made of nylon work best as they are quicker to dry & don't need to be ironed. Still looking for shirts which are just as easy to care for. Any suggestions

My offical trips are short - at most three to four days, so I don't face this problem. You can buy drip-dry shirts. BTW, most hotels have iron and ironing board provided.

Cheers!

I sometimes bring along my own mini iron:o

When I'm visiting the tropics I perspire alot & would really like to change shirts to feel fresh. It's not like in Canada where sweating is not a problem, since the climate is so dry.

I have of course looked at drip-dry shirts but would be interested to know what other solutions may exist out there. I also find ironing a chore so I'm also looking for easy wear casual clothing:)

Lucky you! Uncle go on biz trips, everybody attired in bermudas and t-shirts. Maybe I am in the wrong business.

Is your Bermudas the very wide at the bottoms ones?, you scare the client away, where they see "hairy rambutans"!! or have you?

Nike Dri-Fit shirts are what you're looking for.

I'm not only looking at formal wear. If possible I want to replace my whole wardrobe with easy-to-care clothes. When I am not travelling, it would safe time with the ironing, especially since I don't have a maid.

Johnny333, if u are staying 2 weeks or more, try to find a laundry place near where u stay.
If a few days and u wash yourself, u can always borrow an iron from the hotel. Some hotels even have ironing boards.
Goldlion has shirts which are supposed to be easycare, but ironing them are still better.

I've seen these selling at Royal Sporting & was thinking about these shirts when posting this query on this forum. Do you have personal experience? Anyone tried the Dri-Fit shirts? What do you think?

I do that especially when I am in LOS but turn around time is a problem with those in-house laundry services.

I travel light with only carry-on luggage & that leaves little room for too many extra clothing.

1. Goldlion wrinkle free shirts. Wash, straighten, hang dry, requires minimial ironing.

2. Use thin plastic sleeves for pants and shirts. Cloth will not crumble or crease if it is sandwiched by thin plastic sheets.

For pants, use thick cotton pants. Bought in the US, feels abit velvety on the surface, no need much ironing.

For casual pants I got some nylon pants via Amazon made by Patagonia, Columbia & Royal Robbins,
It's quick drying & ironing is not required.

You can get these at lower prices with more variety and more fashionable at Uniqlo. They have branches across S'pore - ION, 313 Orchard, Vivo City, Bugis+ and Tampines 1.

I have tried Dri-Fit T-shirts not dress shirts but I believe they are the same. They dry fast including sweat on them.
