You know and I know that diplomas are not controlled the way degrees are, so there are diplomas and there are diplomas. Unless he gets a degree or a real diploma, who is really going to vote for him?

I remember when Salim stood for the last election, general complaint abt him is he was only an ITE boy. Now that he hold an diploma, you guy raise the bar and belittle him for not being a graduate. I tell you what, politicians come from all walks of life. Former British PM, John Major, for one is a non-graduate.

I care not abt what is his academic qualification but what he can offer to benefit to the people, the voters and the nation. If his academic qualification does not help him to become a better politician, it does not matter anything to me. However, I am doubtful as to whether you can understand what i am trying to tell you.

In yr world, maybe you believe that ideally only those who graduated from Ecole can be politicians. But ironically, you forget that may mean that you and yr next next generations after you can only be workers and slaves becos you choose to believe you belong to that societal class.

I share you sentiments unfortunately. This must be a dream for the PAP's e-brigade however. A choice between the PAP with the likes of LBW and NSP's Ken Sun and his clowns. Let's vote to see who can sink the island faster.

though NSP must brush up their public speaking skill, it's still better than SDP which already show peasant directly how traitorous and treaherous they can be!

How can same boat people fight?

We are Singaporean.

Sure all opposition fight with PAP because they are one party system and majority PAP will make up decision for minority opposition like NSP, PKMS, SPP, SDP, WP and RP.

Now in opposition which party do not want to share power and declare one party system?

I believe the answer is no.

so why fight?

Good time; kapur high salary and power. So blame the poor, you can vote out PAP, you can dare to vote low quality opposition.

Bad time; unity to face downturn and hard time

Hard Time Super Quality PAP:-

My fellow Singaporeans, in the half century since we attained self-government, we've been tested many times, but we've also created many possibilities for ourselves. Let us stand shoulder-to-shoulder, so that whether it rains or shines, we can work together and achieve the best results for Singapore. This is how we build a better and more vibrant nation, and make Singapore a special place that we are all proud to call our home.

I wish all Singaporeans a very Happy National Day.

Good Time:-

You can vote out PAP and vote low class Opposition if you not agreed with PAP.

Indranee Rajah, Deputy Speaker and MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, replied that the citizens of Singapore have the right to vote against the PAP, and said Mr Low's suggestion is unsound.

She said: "If that day ever comes, then the people are at liberty to vote out the PAP government and should do so in that situation.

At every single election in the history of Singapore, any opposition politician who wants to stand for office, if he happens to be worth anything, is promptly sued for defamation (Lee Kuan Yew's favorite trick) or convicted of real or imaginary offenses. Lee Kuan Yew's willing judges will bend and twist the law for him to bankrupt and criminalize his political opponents. Since bankrupts and criminals are not allowed to stand for elections, even before the election campaign has begun, any opposition politician of any substance is already eliminated! If this is not rigging elections, then what is it?

Thank you Mr. K Shanmugam. I would prefer not to vote, if you can make that possible. At least one can retain at least some dignity, that way.

Since the early years of the PAP's rule, the idea of survival has been a central theme of Singaporean politics. (pragmatism, meritocracy, multiracialism, and Asian values or communitarianism)

The party also says it has 'rejected' what it considers Western-style liberal democracy
Some contest this, pointing to the presence of many aspects of liberal democracy in Singapore's public policy, specifically the welfare state and recognition of democratic institutions.

The party economic ideology has always accepted the need for some welfare spending, pragmatic economic interventionism and general Keynesian economic policy.
The PAP concluded that state welfare and subsidies blunted the individual's drive to succeed. The PAP watched with amazement the ease with which Hong Kong workers adjusted their salaries upwards in boom times and downwards in recessions. The PAP resolved to reverse course on the welfare policies.

The party is deeply suspicious of communist political ideologies, despite a brief joint alliance with the communists against colonialism in Singapore during the party's early years. It has since considered itself a social democratic party, though in recent decades it has moved towards neo-liberal and free-market economy reforms.

The PAP corporatist and militarist tendencies, and also because it has been led by a single strong personality in a nearly one-party state for so long, some commentators have suggested that the PAP might qualify as quasi-fascist or neo-fascist.

However, the PAP is usually regarded as authoritarian rather than totalitarian, and it also entirely lacks several other key characteristics of fascism such as a racist ideology (quite the opposite, in fact), or a drive to expand its territory by military means. Above all, the trappings of multi-party democracy are still in place, and it remains the case that the Singapore population could vote the party out of office if it wished to do so.

SDP is a decoy from the paps to mess things up for all opps. when sdp has served enough of its usuage, it would be wound up. just wait and see.

the important question is: why SDP IB wants to cause so much strife among themselves that it has become so obvious about their public nonsense whether it's cyber or real life.
