US$500 Million Bitcoin Whale Awakens, Exiting With 31,250% Profit

A long-dormant Bitcoin whale has emerged from the shadows and begun selling. The wallet, tagged by Arkham as “5K BTC OG,” originally received 5,000 BTC in 2012. Today, that stash is worth nearly half a billion dollars, and the entity has already cashed out half of it.

According to data from Lookonchain and Arkham, the wallet began offloading Dec. 4, 2024. Since then, it has sold 2,500 BTC in multiple transactions, earning about US$265 million. Just hours ago, an additional 500 BTC was sent to Binance, valued at US$47.77 million. This marks a new wave of exits by the holder.

This is the problem on this planet. It is far easier to make money out of nothing than to produce real goods.
The nothing economy is sucking out all the wealth from the ground. Makes ordinary people feel poor. And when the bubble burst, who knows where all. That money went.
The ratio between actual silver and fictional silver traded in metal. Exchange maybe 400:1. For every ounce of real silver, 400 are false. And these false silver are traded openly and manipulate the price of the metal. Probably same for gold and other commodities.
That means money are sucked buying nothing.
Even worse, if you do futures trading need to deposit only a fraction of the price you need to pay up front. Creating even more bubble and instability.
