Local school teacher and mother: Singapore's education system is a failure

In 70s and 80s, one class has 42 students, no computer and assistant, low salary but the teachers never complain
Nowadays, the teachers are highly paid with much more benefits and bonuses, assistant and computer, AI to help, each classroom only 30+ students, still complain stress and heavy workload. Worst, most of them can't teach, parents have to send their children to tuition classes.
MOE better bring in CECA Indians to replace local teachers.

Blame the AG’s Office and MOH for demotivating our educators. I find it absurd that the AGO considers free parking in our schools and JCs synonymous with supplying hidden perks and entitlements to staff. This move by MOE in the name of a “clean wage” practice in 2018 is an insult to all employees - especially dedicated teachers - of our educational institutions.
