The first line of the reply said "I'm replying the nasty customer", which led the customer to believe that it could be a "copy and paste" situation, with the staff forgetting to remove that line before hitting send.

The reply confirmed that Llaollao has left behind their plastic spoons and replaced them with biodegradable ones, which they are now charging for.

It also said that they are "working on communication to facilitate this issue".

The Mothership reader then sent another message saying, "How am I nasty when you are not even clear with your extra charges my goodness."

Mothership understands that Llaollao has reached out to the customer as of Dec. 2.

Back in the 1980s, nasty was a good thing.

Should have said "I'm replying to the Karen".

And it's probably not even Llaollao's fault.

I'm quite sure the companies here are nudged to be more green and 'sustainable' after Temasek had made a deal with the devil known as BlackRock. This raises operating costs.

This is also why you're seeing them aggressively promoting GMO fake meat and getting restaurants, school canteens to partake of it. There are no coincidences, just follow the money.

Hahaha...so environmental friendly and green but make your customers pay for your good deeds.

Why donch they also just suppy non recycled plastic spoons for other customers that do not believe in paying for so called sustainability ?

Surely she was nasty! How could she take things without asking for permission...
In fact should put it as "Nasty n Greedy customer" ... LOL

Llao llao is way overrated and will soon die a natural death
