SINGAPORE: China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, was in Singapore on Friday as part of his first official trip overseas.
He called on Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean on Friday morning.
Later in the day, he met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The leaders discussed ideas to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, including areas such as financial services, social management and telecommunications.
Separately, Mr Wang also called on former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
His trip includes several other Southeast Asian countries
