LKY Lied

SG comedian Fakkah Fuzz may be banned from Malaysia for making a joke about ex-PM Najib Razak being a thief. He spoke about the differences in the use of the Malay language between S'poreans and Malaysians, saying S'pore Malays call a thief "pencuri" (Malay for thief), while Malaysian Malays call a thief "perdana menteri" (Malay for prime minister). LOL!

LKY once claimed that he could have been a corrupt politician, and put his family on Forbes richest people in the world. Instead, he decided to make S'pore one of the richest countries in the world. Ex-Malaysian PM Najib Razak responded by saying that since LKY took that option, he had no choice except to put his family among Forbes richest people in the world. LOL!

Old Man wisely warned the Shyte Brits about Lim Chin Seong and they approved him to go for Ops Coldstore. The rest is history. Tunku was a great leader too but there can only be room for one. In those days, the choice was clear. To leespect the m&ds' rights or to spit on it. Take your pick. History has since proven the latter correct.

People tend to forget that during the reign of LKY Singapore was a dictatorship…every and anything he was law.

LKY introduced money politics into the PAP. From 1955 to 1973, the PM's salary was $3,500 per month. A significant salary revision in 1973 increased the PM's pay rise to $9,500 monthly, and other ministers' salaries from $4,500 to $7,000. In 2016 values, these amounts were equivalent to approximately $27,742 (annual $360,646, including 13th month) and $20,441 (annual $265,733, including 13th month) respectively. Then PM LKY justified the increases by emphasising the need to attract qualified individuals to govt service, stating that ministerial salaries needed to be competitive with private sector earnings. He was greedy to the extreme.
