Viswa spoke after the 2006 General Elections, PM Lee’s first election as PM after taking office in 2004.

The PAP had introduced what it called its “P65″ candidates – those born after 1965.

I remember quite well Lee Kuan Yew, during a break at a hawker centre/coffeeshop where he held an impromptu media door-stop, responding to a reporter’s question about the quality of the PAP candidates that year.

LKY remarked that well, they were not “first tier”, because the “first tier” people approached by the PAP had declined to join, giving reasons of wanting to spend time with family and to focus on their careers.

The “P65″ candidates that year included Josephine Teo, Baey Yam Keng, Michael Palmer, Jessica Tan, Teo Ser Luck, Zaqy Mohamad.

And the candidates after that got worse and worse.

And then here we are today. Led by "third and fourth tier" people.:cry:

And these mediocre PAP candidates accepted to join PAP to advance their careers ,not to serve Singaporeans. Worse,some even have the sense of entitlement that if they hold an additional appointment ,they have to be paid an additional salary e.g. holding a mayor's appointment and paid an additional salary of $55,000.00 p.m or $660,000.00 p.a. U see how they argued heatedly , vigourously and shamelessly in parliament as if without the mayor's additional salary they could not survived in Singapore any further.Just look at their true colour of money face. They have wasted so much precious time in parliament on national TV arguing and debating about their salaries (benefits) and not about the benefits of the ordinary Singaporeans at large .In times of crisis,will these type of so-called leaders stand up
and fight for Singapore and Singaporeans or will they just run away ? The answer is obvious.

Its true, I was approached but I gave them the middle finger. They don't deserve me

They even roll out the red carpet, but their carpet dirty underneath so I refused to walk on it

This 3G, 4G talk encapsulates the entire problem caused by a dominant one party rule. Stop thinking 'generation' and start thinking 'terms', and the situation will become better.

By the way, LKY, your son is shit tier. But you put him on the throne anyway. :rolleyes:

It is the people who voted them in. When will Singaporeans wake up and it is their responsibility for the type of govt they have now.

Everytime LKY this and LKY that, He is dead. You, as the citizen, is the one who decide who to be in the govt, not LKY.

When can you be evolved enough to learn this. You don't evolved, you dun deserve a good govt.

You are the empowerment to decide who to be in the govt.

Pls stop LKY this and that and disempowering yourself. You decide and not LKY. The more you are evolved, the more empowering you are.

vote for someone like this, not one that sue the citizens that he should be trying to make their lives better.
You are responsible for the govt you voted in, not LKY. You are the empowerment, Not LKY.

Those that have the capabilities to earn high pay i private sector will not join politics ,as hv mone they can enjoy as they wish to with their income.Those that join politics with PAPigs are the ones that nobody would pay them so much in private sector that why they join PAPiio,with their MPs post they are worthless ,look at spe,ccs ,laulan ,buay gan, all make the whole country spend big in covid due to these incompetent persons

If you consider this in the light of Hum Kah Chan....from being a Army General to a Minister is a very high pay rise.

WTF you talking about lack of right people because they want to focus on their careers ?

LKY is DEAD

You decide who should be in the govt. You are the empowerment, NOT LKY.

You know why you have PINKY as the govt, because you still think LKY is the empowerment.

Lol Teo Ser Luck…. This guy… I can’t even remember anything he did. He was most known for shouting like an imbecile during election rally. So now he’s into angel investment or some crap right ?

Suk the right dick and set for life, he displayed during the Erection rally.

Not bad indeed

Teo earns millions over last 11 years

During his time as politician since 2006, we can estimate the amount of money he made, using the revised ministerial salaries set in 2012 (salaries before were much higher):

* Parliamentary Secretary (about 2 years) – $418K x 2 = $836K
* Senior Parliamentary Secretary (about 3 years) – $572K x 3 = $1.7M
* Mayor of North East CDC (about 8 years) – $660K x 8 = $5.3M
* Minister of State (about 6 years) – $770K x 6 = $4.6M
TOTAL = $12.4M

Not bad for an eleven year stint as PAP politician.

Yes,indeed not bad for a medicocre candidate. How many of us can earn $1million savings in our working life time ?
Noticed that as a Mayor appointment,he got an additional salary of $5.3 million ! Is the Mayor appointment a sideline income or a gravy train to the pap
appointment holder ? My colleagues told me that other than receiving the CDC vouchers from the Mayor,they don't know what is the job of a Mayor ?
Also,why do we have five Mayors in this small country ? Is there a duplication of duties and responsibilities between the Mayors and other Political Office Holders ?

People vote for it. Singaporeans should know their own power, they can stop this nonsense.
