MM turns up after therapy for fall

THE audience at the Russia-Singapore Business Forum applauded Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew last night, after it emerged that he did not allow his treatment in hospital to keep him away from the dialogue.

Mr Lee had needed physiotherapy because of a fall the previous day.

As a result, the dialogue began an hour late, at 5.45pm.

He arrived at the talk wearing track shoes.

Earlier, Ambassador Michael Tay, the executive director of the forum's organising council, explained the delay to the 600 businessmen from Russia, Asia, the United States and Europe.

'On behalf of Minister Mentor Lee, I would like to apologise for the delay. Minister Mentor had to go to the hospital for physiotherapy because he had a fall yesterday. But despite that, he is here with us,' he said to loud applause.

The day LKY dies is the day Singapore shares will improve. Those who think that it is because of him that Singapore has many investors are wrong. This man and his fascist regime have have stifled entrepreneurship in Singapore. Just ask Carefour and Seagate and other local entrepreneurs.

I predict that the hustings in this coming GE will see old man reach a new low. Either he will have a heart attack or he will have some other medical ailment that will afflict him. I heard that in Indonesia, an ambulance follows the President where ever he goes. Wouldn't be surprised if LKY has an ambulance & bodyguards following him ever he goes.

Can't stand and walk properly still want to go so far away. What if he injures himself and dies? Then we taxpayers have to fork out money to fly him back on special SIA flight specially fitted. If he kaputs there, might as well bury him inside Chernobyl.
