This is so true. I've witnessed that even though the major governmental contracts are mostly awarded to the Bumis, however, they will later sub-con to the Chinese because they themselves cannot manage. The Bumis would prefer to take a cut from it, seat back, relax and let the works be done and managed by the Chinese.
On the whole the Chinese do get a lot of businesses from the state contracts via this "backdoor" manner. Over all, the live styles of the average Malaysian Chinese are less stressful that Sinkie's Chinese.
Added to all that, unlike S'pore, there is a massive hinterland in M'sia which allows different ethnic communities to congregate and live separate lives away from other communities. The Chinese have made a great success of Penang, Selangor, Johor, and Malacca. There are tremendous economic opportunities in M'sia unlike the situation in S'pore where opportunities are limited and getting to be even fewer by the day for native born S'porns amidst the massive foreign invasion. Consequently, you will notice that many M'sian Chinese are very disinclined to renounce their citizenship. If they can, they prefer to hold dual nationality in M'sia and some place else so that they can return to M'sia at any time of their choosing.
What happens in M'sia is clearly not our fight, and it is wrong to allow M'sians living here to use S'pore to openly politically agitate for change in M'sia. Let us see whether the authorities take stern action, if any, on the 200 who protested illegally at Merlion Park.
