PAP IBs can't defend PAP mistakes so they often ask you a common question "WHAT IS YOUR SOLUTION " to trap you and attack your answer. Your answer to them should be "YOU SHOULD ASK THE WORLD'S HIGHEST PAYING PAP MINISTERS WHY THEY CREATE PROBLEMS WHICH THEY CAN'T SOLVED" and "WHY PAP SUPPORTERS LIKE YOU FAILED TO HELP PAP TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS" ? Seriously I dont know what the state media is doing. They go down to Little India just to confirm that there are less crowds, more peaceful, businesses suffering...

I mean, what do you expect? The govt fucking ban alcohol there, suspend the bus ferry services, and then you expect LI to be normal? What the fuck are they thinking? Is there even a need to go down to see to report?

Meanwhile, the whole of govt is going gaga over the Indian foreigners, and Yeo Guat Kwang who was nowhere around before this, is now "very active" with his MWC organising activities for them. Goes to show that they need a riot to get some attention around here.

When LHL says that the rioting is an 'isolated incident', he is wrong. Such naivety on his (and the government's) part is truly disturbing. If this was the case, why have they ordered a virtual 'lockdown' of Little India today? Why not just say "It's business as usual, move on with your daily lives".
Instead, we get:
An alcohol ban
No private bus migrant transportation
Massive Police and SCDF presence threatening zero tolerance
Massive MSM presence in the area

With these measures in place , of course nothing would actually happen today.

On a positive note, Little India was a much more pleasant experience for the genuine tourist and local shopper today.

We are told that

1. the riot was caused by an isolated incident due to a fatal accident
2. the rest of the majority are rational, sane and well-behaved
3. there are no labour girevances that would have caused it

then why is the govt

1. banning alcohol?
2. asking FW to stay in their dorms?
3. discouraging them from going to Little India?

Well, imho, the govt finally realises that when crowds are allowed to congregate in humongous numbers, all it takes is some agent provocateur to start

1. a race riot
2. a violent protest against the govt over workers' grievances (a la PRC workers)
3. a local vs FW riot

That is why they have awakened and are very afraid they cannot control the situation next time.

As long as the PAP insist in policy of importing more foreigners, the upgraded steps taken by the authorities will be necessary.
So far the PAP has ignored the true cost of importing so many foreigners. It is the typical honest mistake we have come to expect from the young fart
