Sorry, I have to totally disagree with your statement.

This Nation's infrastructure and solid foundations was built and laid down by the British Administration, respectively. The army started from what they donated to us. Their planes, bases, landed properties, everything...

The poor civil servants (those who sweated it out and some who lost their lives to the enemies of the Nation) were the actual builders.

That poor Samsui women, those collies who, pulled bechas (trishas), those towkays who invested here, those policemen who gave their lives, those soldiers who died during the "Undeclared War in Brunei) and all those unsung heroes were the ones who made Singapore what it is today. They were the wheels, the engine, the brakes, the starter, the radiator that ran effectively. were the true ones who made this Nation.
