The announcement by the PAP Government that it will allow work pass holders and their dependents from higher-risk countries to enter our country from 10 Aug provided they are fully vaccinated, is the latest demonstration of the incompetence of Lawrence Wong, Ong Ye Kung, Gan Kim Yong and Co.

Studies have shown that a fully vaccinated person can still transmit the virus!

And there are higher-risk countries where one can buy fake Certificates pronouncing on negative Covid tests for under S$6 (six Singapore dollars)!

I ask the rhetorical question- are we all going to die if these work pass holders and their dependents are not allowed into Singapore? Are they so vital to our economy that we cannot do without them?

Do you find the most successful country in controlling Covid, New Zealand, placing the welcome carpet for foreigners at this point in time?

To me, this stupidity of the Taskforce will produce drastic consequences very soon and our poor citizens will then be treated to another series of U-turn policies.

Singaporeans then will understand the true meaning of the phrase” turning a Nelsonian blind eye”.
