How the Minimum Wage Creates Unemployment .

How the minimum wage hurts the ones that it is supposed to help, and creates unemployment.

If PAP use cartoon to justify I really worry

He suggests progressive wage, pay workers more for working smart.

Minimum wage is quite controversial, it does help some segments of the labour market, but there's more to it.

We should rephrase. Substitute minimum wage with CPF and it'll still make sense. Watch the video and do the same.

How the CPF Creates Unemployment .

How the CPF hurts the ones that it is supposed to help, and creates unemployment.

This thread should be titled how looking at only one side
Of any issue can cause you to be blind or short sighted

With near full employment in Singapore, employers got no choice but to pay CPF. And CPF pays the best interest, 2.5% and 4% up to $60k.

Have you tried to put MORE money into CPF? They reject you lor. CPF Board don't allow you to deposit MORE money into your own CPF account above $xx. The interest rate is really the highest for guaranteed capital.

HK minimum wage is HK$30 per hour. An inexpensive meal is between HK$34 to HK$60.

In Singapore, the progressive wage starts at S$1000, and using MOM calculations to calculate hourly wage, it is S$5.24 per hour. A hawker centre meal would probably cost S$4. I think Singapore's progressive wage is better.

Furthermore, S$1000 is the STARTING salary, for workers who work smarter, they are paid more.

It ‘s the job of Government to maximize the benefits
Of a minimum wage while minimising its side effects

It's no damn use telling us that minimum wage has side effects
Everybody already knows, you're not paid to tell us the obvious
It is like medicine, doctor prescribes this pill to cure your flu
And another pill to control side effects of taking the first pill

Means set of well crafted and co-ordinated policies and measures
To attain the objective of social justice while avoiding or limiting
Unnecessary collateral damage, which means Lim Shit Say and Co
Will have less time to steal toothpicks and more real work to do

Without further ado, let's hear it from
Truly capable Minister and not Ministar
Who speaks proper English
And not Ah Beng Singlish

Don't look down on Singaporean leh, HK better meh?
SG Minister pay workers MORE than min wage, pay PROGRESSIVE wage.
salary already increase. U must read MSM. Alternative news don't report GOOD news from NTUC.

HK min wage at HK30/hr, work 1 hr cannot afford 1 cheap meal of HK34.
Singaporeans progressive wage starts at $5+/hr, work 1 hr can eat a decent hawker meal.
