At his election rally yesterday (September 3) at East Coast GRC, PAP candidate Lim Swee Say promoted the newly-mandated Medishield Life policy for Singaporeans claiming that the usual Singaporean saying, “can die but cannot sick”, is no longer true.

The former Manpower Minister continued to claim that Singaporeans will only need to pay a maximum of S$3,000 for hospital bills of all sizes, and that is not a lot of money like S$4,000 and S$5,000.

an elderly relative hospital bill over $150k despite in class C ward. Although have private medishield plan and govt subsidy, both the relative and son medisave account got clear out till empty and still need another $4k cash to pay for the consumables. Now they dun trust the govt anymore.
