　　7月2日，李显龙在SG50+研讨会认为。挑战权威是属于无政府主义，在他看来，凡是非议或批评政府都是属于这种思想，他扬言要确保言论空间，又不许人们发出声音，这样的自相矛盾说法，十分可笑！

　　然而更可笑的是，他把无政府主义理解为没有把政府放在眼中的意思。这是幼稚而又庸俗的解释，是市井小民从字面上的解释。

　　无政府主义是19世纪40年代工业革命时期的的产物，几乎与马克思主义同时期产生。工业革命后，出现资产阶级与无产阶级激烈对峙局面，各种探讨人类社会新阶段的思想纷纷出笼，无政府主义是其中之一。这种思想与马克思主义有某些共同点，但是在理论上没有马克思主义的科学性和普遍社会性。

　　由于无政府主义派别众多，基本上是以克鲁泡特金的理论为标准。在无政府主义者的眼中，国家是压制人民的机器，包括法院、监狱、警察等等，个人在现代社会中没有自由，因此主张废除所有管理机构，消除政府以及社会、经济上的独裁。

　　无政府主义是一种政治哲学思想，在第一次世界大战前后和第二次世家大战前在世界上相当流行，俄国十月革命深受它的影响。无政府主义也有激烈的一面，一些无政府主义者主张骚乱、暴力、暗杀，尤其是针对政府高级官员。

　　李显龙想必不知道无政府主义的真正含义，因为他开口就指称别人是无政府主义者，他不知道一个极其简单的道理，新加坡根本没有出现无政府主义的条件，看来他应该替自己和同僚开办政治哲学课程，以免再闹笑话。另一方面，假如新加坡真有无政府主义者，他们采取暴力和暗杀手段，李显龙就会寝食难安了。

　　李光耀时代，对于持异议者先是指称“不负责任分子”，后来是“反国家分子”，在后来是“亲共分子”，这种随意乱套的罪名与李显龙指称异议者是“无政府主义者”没有差别，同时有异曲同工之妙。
