台北市長柯文哲已經透露思考在找市長接班人，這跟已經決定參選2020年總統的高雄市長韓國瑜，口吻幾乎一模一樣，顯然柯韓都幾乎確定要投入2020總統大選。過去不論陳水扁或者馬英九，都是市長當完，滿意度都還算可以的情況，成為總統候選人，但柯韓市政備受質疑及任期未結束的情況下，成為總統大選支持度最高的二位候選人，也是台灣民主政治發展裡最怪的現象。
過去政治人物想像選民的要求，第一一定是政治人物的操守和品德，第二就是有表現的政治成績單，第三就是要有一定的歷練，民選之後的總統，李登輝、陳水扁、馬英九及蔡英文總統，都是在這種過程下一步步走出總統路，但今年完全翻轉過去這種政治上基本訓練要求，支持度最高的柯韓都不符過去想像選民可以接受的條件，卻是2020總統熱門人選。
台灣政治現象的怪中之怪
柯文哲已經是第二任，在第一任任期內各種表現，市民並不太滿意，他在驚險中連任，選務工作更是全國最差的，可是他在總統的支持度上卻高過其他政黨的人物，他的兩岸立場搖來擺去，對於議會的關係自然也稱不上政通人和，對於市民每天通勤重要工具捷運工程竟以盲腸來形容，但他卻在討厭政黨的情緒下，永遠保有25％左右的支持度，並且擁有轉移藍綠候選人的能量，著實令人稱奇。
韓國瑜則更是屬於台灣政治現象怪中之怪，他的言語雖然接地氣，但內容空洞，如果說民進黨是民粹起家，韓國瑜無疑是個更空洞的民粹。民進黨的民粹在於高舉各種最理想的狀況例如反核綠能，例如直接民主公投，但如今在執政之後，往往都無法實現，呈現要限制公投的荒謬作法。但若比起韓國瑜，可能還都算不嚴重。
韓國瑜的作法幾乎是個人崇拜，用一個近似宗教的方式進行，甚至連一些騙人的主張和理想都不必了，就能拿到最高的支持度。支持他的人認為能給台灣帶來唯一希望就是韓國瑜。
直率與真誠為當前選民衡量標準？
長期以來，台灣選民被想像成要求總統人選必須政通人和，必須要融合藍綠，必須要有國際觀和理想主張，但在柯韓兩人身上完全找不到，台灣政治選民為何有這麼大的變化呢？
在韓國瑜凱道的造勢大會上，很多自媒體訪問了到現場支持韓國瑜的民眾，多數的民眾都回答挺韓的原因在於韓國瑜很真誠，這跟柯文哲的柯粉似乎一樣，挺柯的民眾多數會認為柯文哲很直率，說話不文縐縐，所以支持柯文哲，什麼時候，說話直率和感覺真誠成為選民衡量政治人物的唯一標準，不管過去他們在市政的表現如何。
台灣選民如果真的變成這樣，到底是什麼造成的？大家都說國民黨裡準備最好當總統，也最符合今年以前的總統人選標準是朱立倫等，但偏偏朱立倫和王金平都拉不起來，得不到民眾的青睞，要說怪現象年年有，莫屬今年最怪的政治現象。
面對這種怪現象是所有政黨及傳統政治人物都要嚴肅面對的，也是選民應該要慎思，就像烏克蘭選出了一位喜劇演員當總統，卻要求這位總統不要當演員，成為普通、真的、嚴肅的總統一樣，都是緣木求魚，就像佛家因果說，有了因才有果，如果有了果卻不細究是誰造成了因，到最後選民也只能自做自受，不能怪別人了。
