Yes children and spouse are innocent no doubt. But have anyone thought about his action only affected him and he should carry the sin alone. As a figure head, he must realize that his action has repercussions no matter what. His decision today may affect climate change for future generations to come. Or his decision today may cause Singapore GDP to drop 10% point. His children will be affected, they may ended up licking the boots of Malaysian in the future if things goes wrong because of his decision today.
So, we cannot say that to leave his family alone as they have nothing to do with his dad. It will set a bad precedent to our leaders that he will only be penalize when he/she made the wrong decision. I know of many politicians who were corrupt and jailed. However, after serving their terms he and his family were living in the high life as all his ill gotten gains were Stach with his families.

Perera is a former Workers' Party (WP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Aljunied Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
He put up a Facebook post on Sep. 11, saying that he still had "some access" to his account.
This was his first post since his affair with fellow WP member Nicole Seah came to light in July 2023.
Both Perera and Seah have resigned from WP.
