He is widely regarded as a Chinese traitor （汉奸）who served in the Japanese Imperial Army in his youth and later sold out China and Taiwan's interests to Japan. This is a guy who insisted that Diaoyutai belongs to Japan, and who while fighting for Taiwanese independence secretly longed to sing the kimigayo again.

There are rumours – yet to be confirmed – that he was actually the bastard son of a Japanese Imperial soldier who was adopted by a Chinese family. And he speaks Japanese more fluently than Mandarin.

Yeah you right about the claims, in fact he wanted to be buried in Japan soil if possible just like his brother.

After he retired from his presidency he create a lot of controversial in Taiwan, first openly support Chen Shui Bian and then the Pan Green Party in many election rallies too. Even though he is from KMT, still getting KMT goodies.
The video above is just another party he helped form after the presidency went back to KMT for 4 years....he is a person whom cannot be trusted, one moment he support you, next moment he will back stab you... Crazy old man.
