Catherine's article, while lengthy, is apologetic and misses the whole point completely. It gives the impression that the FAP Traitors are being misunderstood when the problem with them runs much deeper than that. What instead is the real problem is that after half a century of uninterrupted rule and indifference, SGs have allowed a party and familee to grow into an intractable MONSTER so consumed by greed and power that they will stop at nothing - even if they have to betray and sell out the people to foreigners - to stay in power. Towards this end, they amass untold fortune and financial prowess to make themselves - or at least, make themselves feel that they are totally INVINCIBLE to being toppled by the people. They have seen how they can use money to buy allegiance from "talents" - not to work for the people, but to not work against the party and the Familee. How else can we explain seemingly intelligent "scholars" speaking without conscience? For those that they cannot buy over, they will ruin them financially with the aim that they can never stand against them and that they can be used as examples to cow the people into silent submission - if they have not already been fully occupied by the weight of low pay, high cost of living, back-breaking debt and most recently, risk of being replaced by FTrash. The situation in SG is no different in nature from that of other dictatorships - but its scale will likely be record breaking when the books are finally opened and the costs tallied. The people are already being driven to loss of livelihood and extinction at a pace that is never seen in modern history, short of perhaps what the Nazis did in WW2. But Hitler, at the very least, was not working against his people. The solution to the peril facing SGs now is not to harbour the false hope that the FAP Traitors will ever change, but to remove them from power and to bring them to justice for their betrayal of the people and other misdeeds. What SGs should do now is to unite and work together to bring about this change to regain their country and homeland that they will surely lose completely and forever if they choose to hope for the best and do nothing about.
