To be fair, Jamban is correct. The resident has not proven that those golf holidays were paid with taxpayers funds.

The resident's request is legitimate and reasonable, and jamban should have responded cordially.

Having said that, Jamban should wash his mouth frequently - she need not answer the resident that way. As an MP, she lost her cool.

I think it's difficult lah - you know what power can do to a person over a long time? They make you drunk and high and forget yourself.

My grand aunt used to walk more than a mile to collect water from a standpipe. She returned pushing a makeshift trolley with 4 kerosine tins of water.

She did it when it was raining. She did it when it was blazing hot.

She lived till 82 and she was still doing it right up to 6 months before her demise. When she was sick, her daughter or sister took over.

Sinkies don't need covered walkways. They need a kick in the arse and spurs stuck in their sides.

You are speaking of a different era. Then the air was less polluted and there is less traffic. Life was less stressful and the dollar could stretch very far. We now live in a very different world!

the resident is right in requesting the madam to look at what would help the residents
focussing on the golf trip rather than what's needed would be like Palmer focussing on his outings and ignoring Rivervale plaza issue

I can think of three words for 2016: Lim Hwee Hua in 2011.
