Malaysian PRs & Indon PR are the last hope for PAP in terms of remaining loyalty. But they don't want to convert to SG citizens (SMART!)

That had gotten Goh Choked Donk panic as PAP desperately depend on their votes now.

So this is PAP's secret weapon ! 500,000 PAP votes on standby; it's weapon of mass destruction.

These 500,000 votes are currently distributed across island and are 'sleeping cells'. The time has come for PAP to activate these sleeping cells.

GMS can bite the dust.

Loyalties from all other sources and groups are already gone. Emergency now!

Giving citizenship to 500K or 10% of our population should be an election issue and not something the PAP should undertake on their own.

The people were never consulted and never allowed to have any say on this issue even during elections. The act of mass importing FWs was done calculatedly and without the knowledge of Singaporeans until it was too late.

I suggest that all the APs congregate to tackle this issue against the PAPies.

This is akin to national suicide on an en masse scale if allowed to go through.

A number of there PRs have no qualms getting dual citizenship. That means keeping their original country's passport as well as Singapore's.

This is a double-edged sword. Many male PRs who are in the NS age bracket will be summoned to serve NS in accordance with our Constitution. The fun will then begin. PRs who have bought HDB flats but do not wish to become citizens, will have to dispose their flats. What effect will this have on the property market if huge numbers of PRs quit Singapore?

Also I heard from the grapewine that HDB flat-owning PRs will soon be required to submit certified papers from their home governments that they do not own any property in their country of birth. This is to plug the loophole in the newly announced HDB rules that prohibit HDB flat owning PRs from owning properties abroad. As the current rules stand, HDB dwellers can lie that they do not have any property overseas.

These PRs can easily put their home property under their parents or wive's name. And then have a lawyer write another confidential letter only for the family to ensure that the property cannot be sold without the PR's permission.

All these legal letters are hidden from the PAP and even the foreign government.

One part is PAP wayang to show Sporns that they mean business against the PRs while on the other hand they do want the votes from these PRs. The PAPies get to kill two birds with one stone.

You cannot possibly insist a PR that he or she must not own property in his or her country of birth. Where do you expect these people to stay when they return to their homeland ? The are PRs after all.

As an unofficial representative of the citizens of Singapore:

The answer is, we don;t care! Stay in the gutter/slums.

Half a million grateful PRs is better than half a million of ungrateful Sporeans who don't believe in their government

If using force more likely the PR convert to citizen will vote opposition.

Then GMS & company, must now canvass the PR convert votes...get more ex Malaysian, Indians, Indonesians candidates....50,000 that is a lot of opposition votes...or PAP votes.

U PAP IS need to upgrade your brains. A RP led government is the government. A SDP led government is the government. A WP led government is the government. A SDA led government is the government.

Is the PAP saying they will not be loyal Singaporeans and follow the leadership of the Singaporean government when the PAP is in the opposition?

who said that they cannot own property? they can own as much property as they like back home. they can still own condos here, even landed properties at Sentosa. its just that they cannot own an HDB. this new ruling affects Sinkie citizens too btw.
