An old lady was spotted literally stopping traffic as she crossed a traffic junction illegally without batting an eyelid or showing any form of expression on her face.
The bizzare incident was captured in a video uploaded on Facebook page ROADS.SG on Saturday evening, and has garnered more than 26,000 views as of press time.
In the video, an elderly woman was seen crossing the traffic junction between Outram Road and Cantonment Road, near to Dorsett Hotel and Outram Park MRT Station.
She was doing this while the traffic light signaled green allowing cars to pass through the junction.
Dashcam footage caught several cars braking suddenly to make way for the lady as she calmly walks past the junction in front of the cars.
As she makes way to a car that stopped for her, she calmly turns to walk around the car with what is quite possibly the most collected response anyone can have when faced with imminent danger.
Commenters to the video were mixed in their understanding of the video; while some wished she had more consideration for other motorists, others surmised that there could be something wrong with her, you know, up in the head.
It is a timely reminder to be considerate on the roads, whether you are a pedestrian or motorist.
Just be aware of those who may not know of rules on the road.
