You rent. Don't buy. Too many new developments will ensure prices will not go up. And difficult to sell. Unless in prime location. You must remember Jiu hu is not like sinkie with it's restricted land.

I think if you manage to make some money out of your investment, 2 things you must look at it.
1. Exchange rate. If you buy in at 1: 3rm, but now the rate has plumetted to 1:3.5. You make some lose in exchange rate.
2. There's a capital gain tax for foreigner who invested in their property too.
