Labourer: Female police officer stole my wife
MALACCA: A factory worker’s 17 years of marriage crumbled after he found out that his wife was cheating on him with a female police officer.
Although his wife and the mother of his seven children promised to end the affair a few days ago, the 40-year-old man could not contain his anger when he discovered that she was still exchanging romantic SMSes with the woman, who was visiting his 36-year-old wife while he was at work.
He then decided to bring his strained relationship to the attention of Malacca Religious Depart*ment and also lodged a police report at the Durian Tunggal station at 7pm on Sunday to strengthen his case when it will be heard at the Syariah Court.
News of his wife’s affair surfaced when the couple’s eldest daughter often witnessed a “man”, who sometimes wore women’s clothing, taking her mother from their home in Krobung Jaya here since August while her father was away at work.
The daughter then informed her father, who then found out his wife was frequently going on rendezvous and also gradually started distancing herself from him.
She had befriended the other woman through social media.
The wife also purportedly returned back each time with expensive gifts that the man as a factory worker could not afford to buy.
Earlier this month, the man noticed his wife was wearing a new pair of earrings, and when he questioned her, she told him that a female friend had given them to her.
Suspecting something amiss, the man decided to track his wife and to his shock, found out that his wife was purportedly in love with a female police officer.
The man was also upset when he read lewd SMSes sent to his wife allegedly by the female police officer.
On Oct 6, the man decided to confront his wife on her alleged affair when an argument broke out between the couple and he pronounced talak (intent to divorce) after she admitted having a relationship with the policewoman.
A few days later, the man decided to reconcile with his wife after his relatives advised him to give his wife another chance to repent and forgive her for the sake of the children.
