Kuching man wins $6.8m jackpot

PETALING JAYA - A man in his 50s from Kuching has won Magnum's 4D Jackpot first prize of RM16.9 million (S$6.76 million) when his lucky numbers proved to be the winning combination.

Magnum said the man, who has been a customer for over 20 years, won with the combination 8896 (second prize) and 3318 (third prize).

"He normally buys only the 4D Classic game but became an ardent fan of the 4D Jackpot game since its launch.

"He learned the game from an operator in the agency he frequently visits," it said.

The man planned to buy some property and start his own business with the winnings.

"I believe that money makes money.

"I will also save some money for my children's future so they will have a good start in their lives.

"Last but not least, I will also donate to charity," the man said in an interview with Magnum.

Magnum also stated that this was the first time the man bought the winning combination, and he was surprised to win the jackpot.
