Mudland is a very fitting name for Mudlaysia. Even it’s capital Kuala Lumpur means exactly that. “Kuala” is where 2 rivers meet, “Lumpur” means m&d. So Kuala Lumpur = muddy confluence.

What is the similarity between Malaysia and Australia? Both countries have many “kualas” (koalas)

But it has a cool song for one of its famous roads.

More about Malay words. Did you know the name for Christmas “Hari Natal” is the most accurate description yet to celebrate birth of Christ? Natal is a Latin word meaning “birth”. Prenatal, post natal for example. So there you go, the m&ds got it right.

Of course note, the chinese word is more accurate, meaning the birth of the holy one.

I wonder where they got Latin/Italian from? There were only Portuguese, Dutch and English here.

Maybe from Portuguese which is a Romance language which originate from Latin.

The most spoken Romance languages are Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and Romanian. They are called "Romance languages" because they originate from Latin, the language spoken by the Western Roman Empire. Their grammatical inflection system has been simplified and lost most of the complex case structure of classical Latin.
Geographic distribution: Originally Southern Europe and parts of Northern Africa; now also most of America. Official languages of half the countries in Africa and parts of Oceania.
Linguistic classification: Indo-EuropeanItalicRomance
Proto-language: Vulgar Latin
Subdivisions: Italo-Western, Eastern Romance, Sardinian

We have a winner!

90% correct. If memory serves, kuala is a confluence, but with river and ocean.

KLN

Pengkalan Lumpur

It has also been proposed that Kuala Lumpur was originally named Pengkalan Lumpur ("muddy landing place") in the same way that
Klang was once called Pengkalan Batu ("stone landing place"), but became corrupted into Kuala Lumpur.

The correct Chinese description is 耶誕節, the birth of Jesus. Different religions have different definitions of The Holy One.
