Did you see the smirk at 0:41?

Every dollar note must be backed up by gold in the central bank. *SMIRK*

KNN, he confirm thinking, in my case, what my church earns is backed by GIRO forms.

This gaucho and his horsey are still soooooooo thick skin, thicker than the wall....

Actually, I think on reflection, this Kong Hee is one smart fellow. It's his followers and his congregation who are maybe the retards.
His powers of persuasion and his exemplary delivery of the Gospel clearly got to those naive enough to believe in him.
As others have already said, CHC is more like an evil cult than a charismatic church.

Knn the currency of the US dollar hasn't been backed by gold since the 70s does this fucking pastor king kong even know what he's talking about?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_Shock

The Nixon Shock was a series of economic measures taken by United States President Richard Nixon in 1971 including unilaterally canceling the direct convertibility of the United States dollar to gold. It helped end the existing Bretton Woods system of international financial exchange, ushering in the era of freely floating currencies that remains to the present day.

On 15 August 1971, the United States unilaterally terminated convertibility of the US$ to gold. This brought the Bretton Woods system to an end and saw the dollar become fiat currency.[SUP][1][/SUP] This action, referred to as the Nixon shock, created the situation in which the United States dollar became a reserve currency used by many states. At the same time, many fixed currencies (such as GBP, for example), also became free-floating.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_currency

Fiat money has been defined variously as:

  • any money declared by a government to be legal tender.[SUP][1][/SUP]
  • state-issued money which is neither convertible by law to any other thing, nor fixed in value in terms of any objective standard.[SUP][2][/SUP]
  • money without intrinsic value.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP]

The Nixon Shock of 1971 ended the direct convertibility of the United States dollar to gold. Since then, all reserve currencies have been fiat currencies, including the U.S. dollar and the Euro.[SUP][6][/SUP]

Fugger really talking out his ass spreading untruths. If the currencies aren't back up by gold then his preaching is BS. Might as well counter him by saying the prayers are fiat prayers.

Obviously, he is justifying the need for more and more money to be put into the donation boxes....the trial is costing him a bundle....

"No money, no honey" as the pros always say...this scum is sama sama...

Smart, but unwise.

All charismatic churches which preach the prosperity gospel are the same. The underlying message is still the same: give me your money to show your faith and hence be blessed with manifold returns. It's not just the Big Three (CHC, New Creation, FCBC)... there are plenty more of such churches.

CHC's case is unique because unlike other charismatic churches, it operates on a much grander scale and even involves Sun Ho's 'singing career'.

The reason why the authorities have been dragging their feet on clamping down on such organizations are probably due to some factors:

1) Members of the establishment (politicians, civil servants) are participants of these churches.

2) The pastors of these business-oriented churches are cronies of the regime (comparable to Breadtalk's George Quek).

3) Lobbying from evangelical groups in the US.

If the USA is on track to be a large exporter of oil n gas n refined fuel products its currency will be back by black gold.
