In a video uploaded on 1st November, City Harvest Leader Kong Hee announced on Facebook that he would be giving away bottles of olive oil to church leaders. He said that by using these oils with prayer to anoint on the sick and oppressed, they would be able to tide over their troubles and overcome challenges they faced.

He quoted a Bible verse from James Chapter 5 to support his claims: "The bible says that we need to as leaders in the church we need to anoint those who are sick, those that are going through a hard time with oil, and the prayer of faith is going to turn their situation around, that’s from James Chapter 5."
