昆士蘭無尾熊救援組織（Koala Rescue Queensland）的臉書專頁上貼文，照片中一隻毛茸茸的無尾熊爬在野餐涼亭的柱子上，但進一步去看才發現，這隻無尾熊已經死亡，而且被釘在柱子上。

這則臉書貼文寫道：「可憐的無尾熊，被建築用的螺絲釘釘在柱子上…牠已經死了，但無法知道，牠被釘上去的時候是不是還活著。」

救援組織會長錢伯斯（Murray Chambers）告訴澳洲廣播公司（ABC）說：「我們見過幾次無尾熊被射殺，也遇過有人故意開車壓無尾熊，這是第一次看到這瘋子把無尾熊釘在建築物上。」

錢伯斯說：「我的意思是，這個社會怎麼了？讓人覺得很噁心。」這張可怕的照片在網路上引發網友公憤，很多人憐惜這隻無尾熊，也有人大罵變態、噁心、瘋子，「無法想像有人可以這麼沒水準」。
