North Korea’s Foreign Economic Minister Kim Young-il said on the 26th that North Korea does not care about UN sanctions and called on the United States to change its policy toward the DPRK.
Jin Yingcai, who is attending the Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit in Beijing, said in an interview with Yonhap News Agency on the 26th that no matter whether the sanctions last for one hundred years or one thousand years, it has little impact on North Korea. The Korean people have experienced sanctions for nearly a century, and now there are changes to the sanctions.
When asked if North Korea’s energy shortage is serious, Kim Young-Cai said that North Korea’s energy and electricity production has increased a lot from last year. “South Korea seems to think that we are suffering from sanctions, but it has no impact, and we don’t care.” In the DPRK-US relationship, Jin Yingcai said that there is no special plan. The current US approach does not work. They should change the existing methods.
