（观察者网讯）据韩民族日报4月17日报道，韩国防卫事业厅下属的国防技术品质院（以下简称“技品院”）4月16日发布的《2018年各国国防科学技术水平调查》显示，韩国的国防科学技术水平在主要16个国家中与意大利并列全球第九。称韩国的国防科学技术水平被评价称达到美国的80%。
韩国称自己在机动作战、潜艇、无人机、火炮、制导武器、水下制导领域表现相对出色。K9自行火炮性能改良、155毫米口径射程延长导弹开发、地对空制导武器开发等火力领域技术水平突出；另外在指挥控制、雷达、水下监视等武器系统方面也获得了相对优秀的评价。相反，调查显示，在电子战、固定翼、太空武器、国防软件领域中，韩国的表现相对有些不尽人意。
在韩国三年一次的该调查中，美国再度拿下第一。随着水下滑翔机开发等各种领域新武器开发浮出水面，美国守住了独一无二的位置。法国和俄罗斯并列第二，德国、英国、中国、日本、以色列紧随其后。韩国的名次与2015年一致。
大部分国家的相对技术水平或下降或原地踏步、维持现状，然而唯独中国水平提升。凭借最新潜艇、第六代战斗机、高超音速导弹开发等，中国的国防科学技术水平被评价称达到美国的84%。日本被评价称在舰艇领域具有相对较高的技术能力，在水面舰艇和潜艇等海洋武器系统方面也保持着一定优势。
