The one question no one seems to be asking is how much is the cost to the Russkies for all its mobilisation n military exercises, etc. This is not free n can the Russkies afford it? It has to support the Ukrainian separatist...if this drags out n the Ukrainians conduct a guerilla war against the Russkies. It will cost them even more unless the chicons give n them financial help

The russkies can afford military adventures because they are paying for it in roubles, not dollars or euros. They probably took a loan from some chink bank too.

Russia is merely applying pressure on Ukraine, coupled with a few pokes and skirmishes. Ukraine, being much weaker militarily, is in no position to respond to Russian incursions with full military power. If a handful of Russian skirmishers are killed with heavy firepower by Ukraine, this would give Russian a great excuse to send in a much more heavily armed incursion. It's something similar to what chinkland does towards Taiwan and the pinoys in the south china sea dispute.

Russia can keep this up longer than Ukraine can.

The Russkies just want it cheap. N they want a which is compliant. But Ukraine nationalism has been around since the 1800s. Hence the Russkies this time will not have it easy as the Ukrainians are not on their side. War not cheap..can the Russkies pay?

I agree that war is not cheap. Whether the russkies can pay is a good question. An even better question would be can the Ukrainians pay for this slow simmering conflict?

Their finances are in even poorer shape than Russia's. And the country of Ukraine is much smaller in the geopolitical map than on the RISK map.

Ukraine has the backing of the West n if they use guerilla n partisan tactics they get more bang for the buck causing the Russkies to spend more. The idea is to bleed the Russkies n inturn the chicons like the way the yanks were bled in Vietnam

Ukraine received some anti tank missiles and 5000 helmets from Germany. NATO is mostly standing at the balcony, singing songs to encourage the ukrainians.

TOKYO: Japan is imposing sanctions on Russia over its actions in Ukraine, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said on Wednesday (Feb 23), terming Moscow's moves an unacceptable violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and international law.

Western nations on Tuesday imposed new sanctions on Russian banks and elites after Moscow ordered troops into separatist regions of eastern Ukraine.

Japan's sanctions include prohibiting the issuance of Russian bonds in Japan and freezing the assets of certain Russian individuals as well as restricting travel to Japan, Kishida said.

"Russia's actions very clearly damage Ukraine's sovereignty and go against international law. We once again criticise these moves and strongly urge Russia to return to diplomatic discussions," he said.

"The situation remains quite tense and we will continue to monitor it closely."

Details of the sanctions will be worked out and announced over the coming days, he added.

Japan has sufficient reserves of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) so that there will not be a significant impact on energy supplies in the short term, Kishida said.

There is already a maritime law signed by all disputees in south china sea dispute under UNCLOS. But xi jinping and china decided to ignore it based on historical grounds.
Chee by ah neh don't talk cock if you're ignorant about history.

Diaoyu islands have always been legitimately recognised as Chinese territory until 1971 when US enacted their Okinawa Reversion Agreement to cede islands like Okinawa and Diaoyu to Japan.

This is a sneaky move by US since ROC was the outgoing UN member in October in 1971.

The Diaoyu islands were never America's to anyhow gift to anyone.

Fuck you :FU:
