KFC now serves vegetarian chicken

What monk doing roaming around. Real monk should be in temple. Not walking around begging donation.m People will automatic drop donation into box in temple.

Not eating meat is more to cultivate compassion. How can you love and eat the same animal (e.g pet dog).
The Buddha did not restrict meat eating as certain place like Tibetan highland may have difficulty getting greens. And those going on alms are suppose to eat whatever that was offered. However under situation when monks or nuns need to eat meat (sickness or malnutrition), they could. In event where they suspect that the animal is intentionally killed for them, they can reject the food.
After all it's very much the call of the very individual... Buddhism to me cultivate compassion, mindfulness and most important wisdom....

May all be well and happy......:)

who say monks cannot eat meat? those of you that insist on this view obviously never read pali canon before.

A buddist should not eat meat that is killed for them.

Actually now plenty of things are condidered vegetarian if you study the chain well!

Pork from australia considered vegetarian because they are fed corn & wheat only!
Chicken are also vegetarian because they are fed only corn & wheat too!
Beer & stout also on the vegetarian list because they are made from 100% wheat & malt!
Red & white wine from grape!

If all these are not considered vegetarian then grapes, corn, wheat, malt should never be consume by vegetarian!!

Seems like a local lama la. Many locals become lama and behave like lay people.

Quite often, i patron the vegetarian "kuay chap", the pig intestine is the best.

Pig skin is the best for me. Thin pieces of elastic collagen that melts in your mouth.... mmmm.
