Keep your love under wraps

ROMANCE is stressful. To begin with, finding a suitable mate is no easy task. And finders are not always keepers in the game of love.
How do you keep the potential love of your life by your side? Or worse, how do you get rid of the person you once mistakenly thought could be the love of your life?
Resist being an eager beaver when it comes to broadcasting news of your budding romance.
It may be prudent to keep a new relationship under wraps.
Just like a tasty succulent piece of chicken securely wrapped in paper, make it a delicious secret known only to yourself, for a while.
Then again, kissing and telling could be useful if you are trying to get rid of a lover turned stalker.
But do be careful if you decide to employ this little greasy trick.
You never know what dirt your ex-lover can dish up on you.
PAPER WRAPPED CHICKEN
Ingredients
6 mid-joint wings
6 pieces of greaseproof paper (18cm x 18cm)
5g ginger, julienned
Cooking oil for deep frying
Marinade
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp Chinese rice wine
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp oyster sauce
Dash of white pepper
Method
1. Add the ginger to the chicken wings and marinate for at least 15minutes.
2. Take one piece of greaseproof paper, place one wing in the middle. Fold paper over the wing diagonally to form a large triangle. Fold the left and right corners towards the centre, then fold the top corner downwards and tuck it in securely under the two corner folds.
3. Deep-fry the chicken wings over medium heat until packets turn golden brown. Serve hot.
