IS JUSTIN BIEBER RETIRING FROM MUSIC?

Pop music wunderkind Justin Bieber has announced his retirement from music.<object id="flashObj" classid="clsid

The only problem is, we don't know if he was joking or not.
During an interview on Power 106, a hip hop radio station in Los Angeles, the pop singer was asked by the host about his new album 'Journals,' which is set to drop on iTunes on December 23.
The 19-year-old singer responded, "This new album, uhhh, I'm actually, uhhh, I'm retiring man," to which the shocked host replied, "Noooo!"
The Biebs continued, "I'm retiring, yeah, I'm taking... I'm just gonna take some time, I think I'm probably gonna quit music."

It's unclear at this stage if Justin, who is a notorious prankster, is actually serious or if this is in fact a joke.
Justin's squeaky clean image has been on the slide in the last 18 months, as he attempted to move from a fresh-faced boy of pop into a more serious young adult R'n'B singer.
Stories of his bad behaviour have increased lately, including rumours of sleeping with a Brazilian prostitute while he was on tour in the country, calling a 14-year-old girl a 'whale' by a hotel pool in Perth (again while on tour) and even over night, at a comedy roast saying that he also 'f**ked b*tches' in response to a question about masturbation.
As if to fuel rumours further, Justin posted a trailer for his new bio movie, 'Believe,' to Twitter. This latest trailer opens with the question: "Are you aware you could be the next train wreck?" and followed by Usher, one of Justin's mentors, telling the camera: "The trials of being a teenager, period, is tumultuous, but you can't have a normal life as a superstar."
A poignant quote from The Biebs in the trailer, "I'm the only one who can make those decisions [about what I do next], because I'm gonna have to live with my career for the rest of my life."
It would seem that only time will tell if the most popular person in pop music today is in fact retiring.
