Regarding smells, do note that SMRT, as it serves both the rich and poor, has good aircon filtration systems with ionizers that would break up small particles of air for cleaner air quality within cabins.

It takes only time, probably within a few minutes, for the system to do so, and thus many passengers do not experience strong smells throughout their journey, unless due to prejudicial perceptions, and suffer for their own mental limitations regardless if seemingly and supposed high or low IQ throughout their journey, if it is just one journey... .

Regarding breakdowns, as no man made device is perfect, the insignificant nobody me had said enough here through various posts and reiterate - Better late, with safe systems in place, than never.....
